Fragole Con Aceto Balsamico

The strawberries are a great temptation for us. I made these strawberries with balsamic vinegar, which are marinated in classic Italian dessert with the beautiful colour and aromatic-flavour of mint leaves.
Ingredients:
500-600g strawberries, hulled and halved
40ml balsamic vinegar
4 tbsp superfine brown sugar
1 tbsp lemon juice
15g fresh mint leaves
salt to bring out the flavor
Preparation:
1. Meanwhile, heat the balsamic vinegar, sugar, lemon and sprinkle of a little bit salt in a sauce pan. Stirring constantly until combined, turn off the heat and leave to cool. 
2. Clean the strawberries, remove the stems and cut in half. Place them in a large mixing bowl with mint leaves.
3. Drizzle the balsamic mixture over the strawberries and mint.
4. Then cover, allow to sit at room temperature for up to ½ hour. Spoon into individual salad bowl and served with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
